There are a couple of websites that do a great job of creating your own logos. Cool Text and Flaming Text both give you 10-20 designs and thousands of fonts to create a picture file that you can upload to a website as a banner, button, etc. I've used them mainly for website and newsletter headings, but there are millions of combinations that can be created.
